Golden visa programs (also called residence by investment or RBI) grant a long-term residence permit rather than immediate citizenship. You live and invest in the country, and after legally living — typically 5 years in Portugal, 7 years in Greece, 8 years in Hungary — you may apply for full citizenship and a passport.

Major price hike in the Caribbean
The Caribbean CIP programs have increased the minimum investment thresholds from July 1, 2024. The signatories of the agreement are five countries establishing common CBI framework and regional citizenship unit: Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia.
