The Government of Dominica has tightened the screws on citizenship by investment program requiring one time physical visit to Dominica to collect passport as a new security measure bringing CBI program inline with international passport regulations. Dominica severe visa restrictions placed on Dominica by United Kingdom and United States for operation of CBI program.

According to Government, the new measure forms part of broader reforms under the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed by the five Caribbean CBI jurisdictions, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation, enhancing due diligence standards, and safeguarding the long-term sustainability of the programmes.

These steps were taken to build a stronger connection between economic citizens and Dominica and align the programme with evolving international standards.
